It’s probably been done many times before, but I wanted to try it myself. Turned out a bit better than I expected, actually.

Death Star Earth globe

This started out as an actual model of the Death Star II, but the surrounding Earth globe made it look pretty cool so I kept it.

License plate TIE Interceptor

I had one more set of license plates to make something out of, and in keeping with the Star Wars theme I decided to make the updated TIE Fighter from Empire.

I’m pretty sure you can guess which state I live in, or at the very least which state I got my last car in.

Inspired by the Rise of Skywalker, a little diorama showing the remnants of the battle of the second Death Star.

Costume idea #3: X-Wing Fighter

The last in this little series of costume ideas, hot on the heels of the TIE Fighter comes the X-Wing Fighter. It might look kinda cool, but I bet the arms of whoever is wearing it will get tired fairly quickly.

Costume idea #2 TIE Fighter

The second of three costume ideas: the TIE fighter from Star Wars (of course).

I’ve actually started building a human-sized version of this costume. It might be finished by next Halloween.

Star Wars Escape the Death Star boardgame papercraft

I had this game when I was a kid and thought it would be fun to re-create it. It wasn’t until I was halfway done that I found out that they re-issued the game recently.

Mini figures display case

Kind of a re-issue this week. All of these little figures have been posted before, but I wanted to have them in a static display instead of lying loose all over the place.

Artoo Art Challenge

This week is an art challenge to anyone who wishes to participate:

1:  Get five Artoo Detoo toys:

(I used the Star Wars R2-D2 Christmas lights and took the R2s off of the string. They have a hole in the domes, but that can be used in a lot of different ways.)

2:  Paint/ decorate/ alter them however you wish:

My first five are Gene Simmons from Kiss, the TARDIS from Doctor Who, a naturally grown Artoo, a blackboard and a Nintendo Entertainment System.
